I feel directionless and this site gets ignored because I’m sometimes not sure what purpose it plays. I come here occasionally and move through my archive and can feel some pride and a subtle sense of momentum. Sometimes it just seems like an enjoyable diversion.
Walking past my outdoor show lately has made me feel more the former; I do have a process and some conceptual focus when it come to photography. This site isn’t a random sequence of images. This helps but I still feel at a distance from what I want to be doing. Knowing that there is something at work in my photos keeps me taking them even when I have slowed down to maybe a single roll a month.

While some of us (okay, me) may post with startling infrequency, others like my love Gayla continue to post beautiful images almost daily. Reward her for her passion by buying a print from her and help her get to the ocean.
