Here’s one of a bunch of shots I’ve taken with a borrowed Nikon N80. I wanted to gauge whether it was worth it for me to start using a newer SLR camera so I was very graciously lent a body by one friend and a lens by another.
So far I think I’m somewhat of a convert. I still love my Canon AE-1 but I also enjoy the expanded feature set of the Nikon. I still essentially shoot with it as a manual camera in terms of exposure (I like the auto focus a lot of the time though) but I’m glad to have much better in-camera metering than the Canon and also a much expanded range of shutter speeds. Plus the auto winding etc. is great for the lazy bastard in me.
