how do you get these colors to glow like that? astounding. this is one of my faves. the three locks really make this more than a simple color field image

Hey Brian, I’ve been mostly using Fuji NPC or NPS recently but this was from a roll of Fuji Provia slide film which was given to me and the colours are quite saturated. But this green was already crazy green to start with.

Fan-bloody-tastic.

Sweet.

So much going on in this image — the flag-like band of gray through the brilliant green, the pad locks hanging like jewels, the horizontal grid that’s not quite straight or uniform across and is accentuated by the lens distortion. I really like the way the green seeps into the gray area in faint spots. This and ‘red 146′ are really moving images to me for their placement of significance and emotional qualities in otherwise mundane subject matter. I’ll be you are never bored.

I’ve got a really green BMW post today, the two would work lovely together. This is a beauty.

lovely colour in this one - sometimes that’s all you need!

Yeah the Jasper Johns does seem akin to this in it’s acidic green and parallel lines. The locks even play the role of the tiny dot of white in the middle of his flag.

Wonderful simplicity and color contrast. I like the three locks.
