I’m very proud to announce that the first issue of Making Room Magazine has launched!
MakingRoom is a magazine about the process, intention and results of image-making. Its our hope to comfortably view and examine the range of individual processes that lead to powerful visuals. We plan to talk fairly plainly but with depth to artists at all stages of their practice.
So when is the launch party? Maybe a big party at The Drake this Friday, with free iPods for everyone?
Okay, sounds great! Just one favour… can you bring the iPods? ;)
MakingRoom is really, really excellent. I will definitely look forward to each and every issue, and hopefully submit some work in the future! I’m very excited to have such a quality online magazine around for inspiration.
I enjoyed the interviews: discovering the challenges these photographers encounter, as well as delving into their thought process, is fascinating and such a great learning opportunity. Thank you for MakingRoom!
any chance of adding a printer friendly format to Making Room?
ps, i don’t mean being able to print the images, just the text of the articles/interviews.
Tristan, that is something I was thinking of. I probably will add some simplified text only versions of the features and galleries. Thanks.

Any chance of an RSS feed as well as the email newsletter?
I don’t think we’ll add RSS sitewide but there are feed for the News and the Reviews sections. Those along with the newsletter to subscribers should keep people fairly up-to-date.
