that must be an old beetle. i had a ‘68 and the dash was very similar to this, although i estimate this car to be pre-’68.

it really is a beautiful dash. i’ve always loved that type of steering wheel too, with the wolfsberg crest in the centre, and the half-circle horn ring. my steering wheel was exactly the same. i should never have sold that car.

It’s “Wolfsburg” and indeed it’s beautiful.
I just have to visit my “Käfer”-crazy friend Florian again and take some shots of his huge collection of beetles.

this is a breathtaking time travel ride for me…i’m viewing the dash from the perspective of a six year old in my mom’s first car. wow, thanks.

Black is sort of a rare color for a beetle. Not too many were painted that color.
