The battered old truck parked outside the modern looking building is an interesting juxtaposition. But time has worn on both the truck and building and each has a unique and weathered look which is heightened by the B&W film.
The building has a few years on the truck. It was built in 1954.
I like this one, Davin — but can’t seem to figure out why — the hour-glass lights are eye grabbers — but the rest of the image just works well — all together… nice composition… oh — the light is just right — I like the shadows and their angles…
This shot was a bit of an attempt at taking something “out of time”. Because the truck was a bit older, I figured I could get a visual that was somewhat removed from 2004. Like a scan of one of my grandfather’s slides from the 60’s.
It is interesting I would assume the building is newer then the truck. Hrm. Thank you for correcting me.
Conrad, it wasn’t a correction. I was just giving more information.
Whatever the case, thank you for the information.
What style of architecture does the building represent?
