This is certainly a depature from your usual photographs. I’d expect to see a photograph of the juggling balls up-close.

Davin – 20 June 2004 @ 10pm

Bocce balls, man! Bocce balls!

Sorry to disappoint.

pallino? wow, i had no idea you were a bocce enthusiast. you wanna see some real play, ditch the city and come out my way. san quagliana courts in east aurora represent! city courts lick stugots!!

conrad – 21 June 2004 @ 3am

Bocce?! Stop making up words!

Davin – 21 June 2004 @ 8am

Enthusiast? Well, I’ve played once and it was “Open Bocce” so I could never stand up to the steely-eyed scrutiny of La Famiglia Aurora orientale.

This was on the grounds of the Queen St. Mental Health Centre though so I get street cred.

I like the new comments system, damn those pop-ups!

Davin – 21 June 2004 @ 6pm

Yeah, I was tired of the comments being squished into the little pop-up.

great shot, kind of caught in mid flow, and thought.

is bocce like the french boulés?

Davin – 22 June 2004 @ 9am

Jim, I think so.

There seem to be a few bowling games which date way back. The play and rules vary back and forth. Such as (from what I just read) boulés uses 3 balls a side and bocce uses 4.

Of course, in Canada we also maintain the fine Scottish tradition of Curling. Anything to stand on ice for more time than we have to apparently.

I love the placement of the balls in the frame.

Bocci kicks almost as much ass as lawn bowling :)

Davin – 22 June 2004 @ 9am

Bocce kicks even more ass Matt!

Lawn bowling is for sissys.

matto – 22 June 2004 @ 12pm

Sissys? SISSYS?

Yeah I guess.

Big tough bocce guy, huh?
