good composition, and the colours with the blue offset with the green
sweet.
This shot totally caught me off-guard since I’m not used to seeing people in your shots. Nice.
Yes, people are a rarity for me. It’s something I’d like to work on.
yet another great shot… I really like the color palette. Is this Agfa? Really nice, Davin.
This is Agfa Optima 100 — which we have recently run out of. Got to get back on Ebay and find another lot.
that’s great stuff — renders almost perfect skin tones and greens… love it…
What scanner(s) do you use Davin?
I don’t scan my own photos at this point. When I get 35mm processed I get a CD of medium-res scans instead of prints.
We do have an Epson Perfection 3200 Photo flatbed scanner here which I have used on occasion and which also get used for any medium format scanning. But not really by me.
Thank you for addressing my questions. Where do you get your film processed? I wonder about these things because I have been wanting to purchase a digital camera. But I have a perfectly good Nikon N65 SLR and a Bronica medium format camera just sitting in my closet. Considering I more control over my images with a film-based camera and considering that I already have these cameras, I don’t think it is worth my money right now to buy a digital camera. So I’ve been thinking about doing something similar to what you have. Thanks.
Well there ya go, not everyday you see people on here. great shot.
Conrad — I get my film processed at a place called West Camera here in Toronto. They use Fuji machines there if that accounts for anything.
I apologize for all of the questions, but are their Fujifilm machines of the Frontier series? I ask because a local shop here also uses Frontier machines. If I can get similar quality compared to what you have I would be very happy.
I honestly don’t know the exact model of their Fuji machines. But I also wouldn’t give the machines too much credit. I’ll save some of that for myself.
Yes of course, you are the one deserving the credit, not the machine. ;)
By the way, what does it run you to have a whole roll of 24 or 36 exposures scanned to a CD?
$6
awesome, davin! that shirt has become julie’s uniform, btw.
haha — Another member of the Garden Hoe army!
Thanks for answering that question davin.
