Zenit EM
I’m a HUGE fan of strawberries — and shallow depth of field — nice job in both categories… the colors are great, too… - bob
I’m not a big fan of strawberries (mainly because I live near huge strawberrie fields and everything thing around here seems to have strawberries in it), but nonetheless, great photo! I particularly like the colors and the softness.
Davin - in reply to your favorites/watch list question on the photoblogs.org site… Favorites are basically sites you love and want to have your vote in for - watchlist are for sites that you think either have potential or enjoy, but don’t want to “vote” for just yet.
Susan - Yeah, I got the subtle distinction after trying out each one but thought that the distinction was just that — too subtle. I’m sure it’s a useful tool for some though.
mmmm. like christmas. the dof on this has a different feel than your other zenit em shots… the color as well - different film or processor? regardless, very nice.
Thanks Ian. This shot is actually from the same roll as the preceeding few (wood, ladybug, daffodils). Maybe I got different light in this area of the garden.
I would say it’s the light. If I recall correctly, the other garden photos were taken in shadier areas.
Well composed and executed shot. The short depth of field works well with the close-up of the strawberries. With a color palette which mainly draws from earth tones of grey and brown, the red strawberry leaves provides a fierce contrast which makes the composition successful.
