What a lonely shot. I love the color and the framing but it just seems sad.

I my humble opinion…

It looks like the table is a resolute prisoner. A lifer who knows he’s in for the long haul and is ready to deal with it. The chair is his wife or child sadly keeping him company, standing by this loved man.
