absolutely gorgeous.
beautiful.
Simply beautiful. (I love that you are using an AE-1).
Thanks. The Canon AE-1 is a wonderful camera. Almost everything I’ve shot with it lately has been with an 80-200mm lens. It’s extra bulky to carry around with that lens and often means I have to lug a tripod about as well. But I just love taking these short depth of field shots. There’s something instantly warm and intimate about having the foreground object shap and the background so soft.
what is that plant, by the way? i automatically assumed those were maraschino cherries growing on a tree, but then i realized that was impossible…
I think that those are High Bush Cranberry fruit. Not good for people eating but we saw loads of pretty grey and yellow finches eating them like there was no tomorrow.
The fruit turns red in the fall and you see them still clinging on throughout the winter. They’re definitely a splash of colour on a grey day after the leaves have all fallen.
Wow. Excellent image!
